		<description>I think people are missing the obvious here.  I, like many others, live in a place with vast quantities of solar (or wind) electric generation potential. I don't need to wait for big companies to build large "green" electric generation plants.  I can produce enough electricity on my roof to power my electric car AND the vast majority of power for my home. I, like many people (tens of thousands), have solar (or wind) electric generating capacity already installed on our homes.  There would be NO additional draw on the grid. Many thousands of us dying to buy a dependable, reasonably priced EV.
For those people who do not currently have the capacity to generate their own solar (or wind) electricity, buying an electric car that comes with it's own solar electricity generating system is the perfect way to incent people to decrease pollution, AND increase the amount of renewable energy generation in this country. right now, most people that are willing to buy new EV technology are also willing to slap up a few solar panels on their roof....FREE FUEL!!  Can't beat that!!

(1) Miles per gallon when using the gasoline engine exclusively, and
(2) Miles per kilowatt-hour when running on batteries exclusively.

If you get your energy from an onboard gasoline powered electric generator, for example, you should be measuring miles per gallon, even if the vehicle has an all-electric drivetrain.  If you are using power from the grid ala a battery that was plugged in, then you should be measuring miles per kilowatt-hour.</description>

PEOPLE WOULD IGNORE THE FACT THAT ELECTRIC GENERATION IN THE USA IS NOT GREEN YET . IT CREATES HIGH CO2 AND THEY WOULD RECHARGE AT HOME BECAUSE IT WOULD COST LESS THAN FUEL. PEOPLE  COULD MODIFY TO HOME RECHARGE THEIR CARS OR BUSINESSES VANS WITH VOLT E-FLEX DESIGN OR FOR ANY RECHARGEABLE HYBRID. 

OUR POWER GRID IN THE USA NEEDS AN UPDATE.  AIR CONDITIONERS PLUS THE ELECTRIC RECHARGE OF HYBRID AND ELECTRIC CARS WOULD CAUSE  BROWNOUTS  AND BLACKOUTS OUTS NOW IF WE WERE ALLOWED TO CHARGE LARGE NUMBERS OF ELECTRIC CARS AT HOME.

HYBRIDS ARE THE BRIDGE TECHNOLOGY TO A STRONGER POWER GRID IN THE FUTURE. 

SO CHEVY AND OTHER HYBRID MAKERS HAVE TO MAKE SURE PEOPLE USE FUEL FOR NOW TO PREVENT HOME AND BUSINESS RECHARGES. HOME AND BUSINESS HYBRID AND ELECTRIC CAR RECHARES MUST BE DETECTED AND PREVENTED  AND PROSECUTED UNTIL NEW GREEN POWER PLANTS CAN MAKE THOSE COMMING FUEL PLUS RECHARGE GASOLINE LIKE STATIONS  NOT POLLUTE SO MUCH NOR CAUSE ELECTRIC GRID PROBLEMS.

THE VOLT E-FLEX CARS WHEN THOSE CARS ARE MADE FOR SALE WILL MAKE A MASSIVELY SIGNIFICANT GREENING ADVANCE WITH THE VOLT E-FLEX CAR LINE WHEN IT COMES OUT.

AN E-FLEX VEHICLE CAN BE UPGRADED TO A PURE ELECTRIC CAR UNLIKE OTHER HYBRIDS SO WHEN THOSE GREEN POWER PLANTS COME INTO BEING THEN YOU AS A CAR OWNER PAY FOR AN UPGRADE TO A FULL ELECTRIC CAR TO GET THE MUTIPLE FUEL COSTS MONKEY OFF YOUR BACK.

THAT MONKEY WILL ALSO DRIVE HOUSE AND INDUSTRIES TO EVENTUALLY BE BATTERY ELECTRIC GRID POWERED.

WHEN GREEN POWER PLANTS STABLIZE MUTIFUEL AND SOLAR AND WAVE ETC... SOURCES OF ENERGY INTO ONE COST OF ELECTRICITY. THEN ENERGY WILL THEN BE JUST ELECTRICTY TO PEOPLE. ENERGY WILL BE FUELS AND DIFFERENT NATURALS SOURCES LIKE HYDROELECTRIC POWER TO THE ELECTRIC UTILITY COMPANIES ONLY.   GREENING ISSUES WILL DROP IN COMPLEXITY.
 
CHEVY SHOULD RAPIDLY MAKE ITS TECNOLOGY AVAILABLE TO OTHER HYBRID CAR MAKERS AS ROYALTY DEALS WITH THEM TO RIDE THE HYBRID WAVE WHEN IT COMES WITH PERFECTED FIELD TESTED TECHNOLOGY BEFORE THEY GO FULL TILT MAKING THEIR OWN E-FLEX CARS. 

CHEVY CAN LIMIT THE NUMBER OF CARS THE OTHER MAKERS PRODUCE UNTIL THEY LAUNCH FULLY THEMSELVES. ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS RESERVE ALL RIGHTS FOR DERIVATIVE PATENTS UNTIL A CHOICE DATE CONDITION SO THEY KEEP CONTROL TILL THEY LAUNCH.

CHEVY, HIRE CATERERS UNTIL YOUR RESTRAUNT HAS A KITCHEN. 

THE E-FLEX TECHNOLOGY WILL IN THE LONG RUN AND SHORT RUN PRODUCE A VERY GREAT GREEN ADVANCE FAR GREATER THAN THE OTHER DESIGNS OF THEIR CURRENT HYBRID CAR MAKING COMPETITORS. 

GLOBAL WARMING IS MELTING THE ICE OF THIS EARTH AT SUCH A RATE SCIENTIST ARE BECOMING CLUELESS AS TO WHAT IS NEXT.  MY AND OTHER PEOPLES WEATHER FORCASTS USED TO BE STABLE THREE DAYS INTO THE FUTURE MOSTLY. LATELY WEATHER FORCASTS IN MY AREA ARE BECOMING MORE OFTEN USELESS BEYOND ONE DAY AT LEAST WHERE I LIVE. ANY BODY ELSE WITH LESS DETAIL INTO THE FUTURE FOR WEATHER FORCASTS?
     
IN MY OPINION SINCE E-FLEX TYPE CARS ARE THE ONLY UPGRADEABLE DESIGN THAT CAN BE UPGRADED WITHOUT BUYING A NEW CAR TO BECOME FULLY ELECTRIC LATER, THEN ALL CAR BUYERS SHOULD BUY ONLY E-FLEX TECHNOLOGY CARS, BECAUSE WE MUST BE PREPARED TO GO TOTALLY ELECTRIC WITH CARS THE INSTANT NEW GREEN POWER PLANTS DEDICATED TO THAT PURPOSE COME ON LINE IN THE USA FOR THOSE HYBRID CAR FUEL AND RECHARGE STATIONS ABOUT TO POP UP IN ABOUT 5 YEARS I WOULD THINK.

THE EARTH CAN'T WAIT FOR 10 OR 15 YEAR DELAY  TO REPLACE CARS THAT CAN'T BE UPGRADE TO PURE ELECTRIC CARS RAPIDLY.

HYBRIDS WITHOUT E-FLEX TECHNOLOGY REQUIRE NEW CARS FOR UPGRADE TO FULL ELECTRIC CARS.  IF WE WAIT THAT LONG FOR MULTIMILLIONS OF CARS TO UPGRADE THEN ALL PEOPLE MIGHT JUST AS WELL START EATING EACH OTHER AND DO ANYTHING FOR A LAUGH AND THROW CIVILIZATION IN THE GARBAGE BIN.

TO KEEP FROM ECONOMIC MELT DOWN BY PREVENTING MONEY LOSSES, WE HAVE TO FACE REALITY. FOSSIL FUELS CAN EASILY BE REPURPOSED TO MAKE VAST NUMBERS OF EXISTING PRODUCTS EXPANDING INTO NEW MARKETS LIKE PLASTICS FOR HOUSE AND CAR MAKING AT LESS EXPENSIVE PRICES.

WITHOUT MERGING THE CORPORATIONS OF ALL ENERGY, PETROCHEMICAL AND FUEL RELATED INDUSTRIES  WE MUST MERGE THEIR STOCKS TO STABLIZE THEIR CASH FLOWS THROUGH ENERGY SOURCE CHANGE OVER FROM FOSSIL FUELS TO RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES.   NONE OF THESE COMPANIES WOULD  SUFFER LOSSES OF MONEY WHEN LEGAL MANDATES REMOVE ALL BURNING OF GREENHOUSE GAS  NON-RENEWABLE FUELS.   ONE STOCK FOR CONVERSION FROM FOSSIL FUELS TO NEW ENERGY SOURCES ALLOWS ALL THOSE STILL INDEPENDENT COMPANIES TO FIND NEW BUSINESSES PURPOSES AND RETRAIN PEOPLE OF THE FOSSIL FUEL INDUSTRIES TO NEW JOBS IN OTHER INDUSTRIES IN NEW ENERGY COMPANIES.

WE NEED OCEAN WAVE POWER ASAP AND SOLAR CELLS FOR THE SPACE INDUSTRY ARE 40% EFFICIENT AT CONVERTING SUNLIGHT TO ELECTRICITY WHICH IS DOUBLE EARTH SOLAR CELLS. THOSE SPACE SOLAR CELLS ARE ABOUT TO USE NEW HOLOGRAPHIC CONCENTRATORS THAT SHRINKS THE SIZE OF THE CELLS NEEDED GREATLY TO GET THE SAME POWER LEVELS SO COST FOR HIGH POWER SOLAR CELLS WILL DROP GREATLY SOON IF THE HOLO--CONCENTRATOR REALLY WORKS AND IS NOT HYPE.

ANYONE WHO UNDERSTANDS THE MANY MIDDLE EAST PROBLEMS WOULD KNOW THAT THE ARAB NATIONS WOULD CONTINUE TO SELL OIL FOR NEW VITAL REASONS AND FOR MANY REASONS CONTINUE AS NORMAL. ISLAMIC TERRORISM FROM THE EXTREMISTS WOULD STILL BE THE SAME THREAT. NOTHING WOULD CHANGE FOR OIL PRODUCING NATIONS BECAUSE OIL FOR PLASTICS WOULD PRICE ADJUST OVERTIME.  EVERYONE ON BOTH SIDES OF TERRORISM, BOTH FOR TERRORISM AND FIGHTING TERRORISM, WOULD BE IN THE SAME STRENGTH POSITIONS THROUGHOUT THE TRANSITION OF ENERGY SOURCES AS STRONG AS THEY ALL ARE NOW.

THE PROBLEM OF REDUCING GREENHOUSE GASES REQUIRES THE ATTENTION OF EVERY SCIENTIST IN THOSE FIELDS OF CHEMISRTY,PHYSICS AND BIOLOGY NOW AND EVERY ENGINEER AND INVENTOR WITH SKILLS TO HELP EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT DIRECTLY WORKING ON THIS PROBLEM.
    
WE NEED TO FOCUS OUR MINDS ON THIS PROBLEM GREATLY OR COMMITEE DELAYS IN AND BETWEEN GOVERNMENT AGENCIES WILL BRING CERTAIN DISASTERS OF STORMS AND FOOD SHORTAGES IN ABOUT TEN YEARS THAT WILL CAUSE MASSES OF REFUGES ON BOTH HEMISPHERES.  THE MIDEAST HOSTILITIES WILL HAVE TO COOL UNTIL THE FUTURE CAUSE YOU ARE ALL GOING TO SHORTLY REALIZE WARS MUST END FOR A LONG WHILE TO FACE THIS PROBLEM OF GREENHOUSE GASES OR THERE WILL BE NOTHING BUT WARS. THIS BY NO MEANS IS  PEACE NOR DOES IT SOLVE ANY MIDEAST PROBLEM AT ALL BUT A VERY SHAKY TRUCE THAT WILL EVENTUALLY BECOME OBVIOUS IN ABOUT 10 YEARS OR SO.  I WILL LIKELY DIE BEFORE IT HAPPENS FROM OBESITY UNLESS SOMEONE SURGICALLY REMOVES THE OUTER FAT OF MY BELLY SOMEHOW CAUSE EVEN THOUGH I AM HEALTHY ENOUGH YET, BODY CAVITY SURGERY IS NOT AN OPTION CAUSE NO DOCTOR WILL DO IT TO HIMSELF UNLESS HE IS IN AGONY AND WILL YET LINGRE A LONG WHILE. I WOULD NEVER DO WHAT DOCTORS WONT DO TO THEMSELVES. THERE HAVE BEEN ENOUGH SICK DOCTORS BY NOW TO KNOW WHAT THEY GIVE AND DO TO THEMSELVES.

WE NEED  MASS OVER PRODUCTION OF FOOD READIED SOON ENOUGH WATERED BY DESALINATED  SEA WATER GROWN IN BUILDINGS AND WATERED BY SEASONAL RAIN CATCHING PONDS BECAUSE THOSE RAINS IF ANY ARE  GETTING STEADILY MORE UNPREDICTABLE TO BE OF USE FOR FIELD BASED CROPS. WE NEED TO PRODUCE THAT EXTRA FOOD IN THE LANDS HAVING CROP FAILURES SO PEOPLE STAY WHERE THEIR HOMES ARE SO THEY DON'T WIND UP ALL OVER THE PLACE AS FOOD REFUGES.

RESOURCE POOR AREAS OF THE WORLD HAVE THREE RESOURCES EVERY OTHER NATION ALSO HAS . ROCKS, SAND, AND CLAY COULD BE BOUGHT FROM ALL RESOURCE  POOR AREAS ONLY TO MAKE POVERTY BECOME JUST POORNESS OR BETTER I HOPE.

I REMIND EVERY CHRISTIAN THAT IF YOU DECLARE A PROPHET OF JESUS OR ANYONE ELSE AS A JUDGEMENT TO BE EVIL THEN YOU WILL ALSO BE JUDGED AS EVIL IN THE SAME MEASURE YOU STATE BY GOD'S OWN RULE OF " HOWEVER YOU JUDGE SO SHALL YOU BE JUDGED " SAID JESUS IN THE BIBLE. 

CURRENTLY THE NUMBERING SYSTEM IN THE BIBLE IMPOSED BY MEN OBSCURES THAT THIS PASSAGE ISAIAH 29: 9- 19 IS INDEPENDENT FROM THE FIRST PART OF THE CHAPTER OF ISAIAH 29.    ISAIAH 29:9--16 IS NOW REVERSING TO MAKE PEOPLE AWARE OF GOD BECAUSE ISAIAH 29: 17--19  WILL BE FULFILLED SOON ENOUGH.

WAITING TO REMOVE NON-RENEWABLE GREENHOUSE GAS PRODUCING FUELS WOULD CREATE GREAT EXTRA AMOUNTS OF CO2. THAT IS VIRTUALLY CRIMINAL POLLUTION WHICH VIOLATES THE SPIRIT OF USA EPA EMISSIONS MANDATES FOR THE FUTURE BUT IS NOT COVERED UNDER ITS ENFORCEMENT LAWS.

NOT NEEDING TO BUILD AND SELL NEW CARS TO UPGRADE  MODELS SO OFTEN CAN SAVE GREAT ENERGY IN MANUFACTURING AND REDUCING CO2 GREATLY ALSO. SO CAR MAKERS MAKE YOUR CARS MORE DURABLE AND GIVE THEM FACE LIFTS FOR THE FEWER PEOPLE WHO REALLY FOLLOW FASHION. MOST PEOPLE WANT A ROLLING BOX POWERED BY ENERGY THEY CAN AFFORD THAT DOESN'T POLLUTE. 

CAR MAKERS, SPEAKING FOR TALL PEOPLE ,THE LAST TIME I WENT CAR SHOPPING I ALMOST COULD NOT FIND A CAR SO TELL US AT YOUR DEALERS WHERE WE CAN GET ROOFS CUSTOMIZED. QUOTING ELEPHANT MAN IN THE MOVIE "I AM A HUMAN BEING" WHICH IS RICHLY IRONIC SINCE I AM OBESE ALSO.

<p>HYBRIDS WITHOUT E-FLEX TECHNOLOGY REQUIRE NEW CARS FOR UPGRADE TO FULL ELECTRIC CARS.  IF WE WAIT THAT LONG FOR MULTIMILLIONS OF CARS TO UPGRADE THEN ALL PEOPLE MIGHT JUST AS WELL START EATING EACH OTHER AND DO ANYTHING FOR A LAUGH AND THROW CIVILIZATION IN THE GARBAGE BIN.</p>
<p>TO KEEP FROM ECONOMIC MELT DOWN BY PREVENTING MONEY LOSSES, WE HAVE TO FACE REALITY. FOSSIL FUELS CAN EASILY BE REPURPOSED TO MAKE VAST NUMBERS OF EXISTING PRODUCTS EXPANDING INTO NEW MARKETS LIKE PLASTICS FOR HOUSE AND CAR MAKING AT LESS EXPENSIVE PRICES.</p>
<p>WITHOUT MERGING THE CORPORATIONS OF ALL ENERGY, PETROCHEMICAL AND FUEL RELATED INDUSTRIES  WE MUST MERGE THEIR STOCKS TO STABLIZE THEIR CASH FLOWS THROUGH ENERGY SOURCE CHANGE OVER FROM FOSSIL FUELS TO RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES.   NONE OF THESE COMPANIES WOULD  SUFFER LOSSES OF MONEY WHEN LEGAL MANDATES REMOVE ALL BURNING OF GREENHOUSE GAS  NON-RENEWABLE FUELS.   ONE STOCK FOR CONVERSION FROM FOSSIL FUELS TO NEW ENERGY SOURCES ALLOWS ALL THOSE STILL INDEPENDENT COMPANIES TO FIND NEW BUSINESSES PURPOSES AND RETRAIN PEOPLE OF THE FOSSIL FUEL INDUSTRIES TO NEW JOBS IN OTHER INDUSTRIES IN NEW ENERGY COMPANIES.</p>
<p>WE NEED OCEAN WAVE POWER ASAP AND SOLAR CELLS FOR THE SPACE INDUSTRY ARE 40% EFFICIENT AT CONVERTING SUNLIGHT TO ELECTRICITY WHICH IS DOUBLE EARTH SOLAR CELLS. THOSE SPACE SOLAR CELLS ARE ABOUT TO USE NEW HOLOGRAPHIC CONCENTRATORS THAT SHRINKS THE SIZE OF THE CELLS NEEDED GREATLY TO GET THE SAME POWER LEVELS SO COST FOR HIGH POWER SOLAR CELLS WILL DROP GREATLY SOON IF THE HOLO&#8211;CONCENTRATOR REALLY WORKS AND IS NOT HYPE.</p>
<p>ANYONE WHO UNDERSTANDS THE MANY MIDDLE EAST PROBLEMS WOULD KNOW THAT THE ARAB NATIONS WOULD CONTINUE TO SELL OIL FOR NEW VITAL REASONS AND FOR MANY REASONS CONTINUE AS NORMAL. ISLAMIC TERRORISM FROM THE EXTREMISTS WOULD STILL BE THE SAME THREAT. NOTHING WOULD CHANGE FOR OIL PRODUCING NATIONS BECAUSE OIL FOR PLASTICS WOULD PRICE ADJUST OVERTIME.  EVERYONE ON BOTH SIDES OF TERRORISM, BOTH FOR TERRORISM AND FIGHTING TERRORISM, WOULD BE IN THE SAME STRENGTH POSITIONS THROUGHOUT THE TRANSITION OF ENERGY SOURCES AS STRONG AS THEY ALL ARE NOW.</p>
<p>THE PROBLEM OF REDUCING GREENHOUSE GASES REQUIRES THE ATTENTION OF EVERY SCIENTIST IN THOSE FIELDS OF CHEMISRTY,PHYSICS AND BIOLOGY NOW AND EVERY ENGINEER AND INVENTOR WITH SKILLS TO HELP EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT DIRECTLY WORKING ON THIS PROBLEM.</p>
<p>WE NEED TO FOCUS OUR MINDS ON THIS PROBLEM GREATLY OR COMMITEE DELAYS IN AND BETWEEN GOVERNMENT AGENCIES WILL BRING CERTAIN DISASTERS OF STORMS AND FOOD SHORTAGES IN ABOUT TEN YEARS THAT WILL CAUSE MASSES OF REFUGES ON BOTH HEMISPHERES.  THE MIDEAST HOSTILITIES WILL HAVE TO COOL UNTIL THE FUTURE CAUSE YOU ARE ALL GOING TO SHORTLY REALIZE WARS MUST END FOR A LONG WHILE TO FACE THIS PROBLEM OF GREENHOUSE GASES OR THERE WILL BE NOTHING BUT WARS. THIS BY NO MEANS IS  PEACE NOR DOES IT SOLVE ANY MIDEAST PROBLEM AT ALL BUT A VERY SHAKY TRUCE THAT WILL EVENTUALLY BECOME OBVIOUS IN ABOUT 10 YEARS OR SO.  I WILL LIKELY DIE BEFORE IT HAPPENS FROM OBESITY UNLESS SOMEONE SURGICALLY REMOVES THE OUTER FAT OF MY BELLY SOMEHOW CAUSE EVEN THOUGH I AM HEALTHY ENOUGH YET, BODY CAVITY SURGERY IS NOT AN OPTION CAUSE NO DOCTOR WILL DO IT TO HIMSELF UNLESS HE IS IN AGONY AND WILL YET LINGRE A LONG WHILE. WE NEED TO PRODUCE THAT EXTRA FOOD IN THE LANDS HAVING CROP FAILURES SO PEOPLE STAY WHERE THEIR HOMES ARE SO THEY DON&#8217;T WIND UP ALL OVER THE PLACE AS FOOD REFUGES.</p>

GM could build the Volt tomorrow. The concept doesn’t require any battery development. They could even use lead acid batteries.If the plug in range is 30 miles instead of 40, is this a reason not to build it? Is a $1000 battery pack that has to be replaced every 5 years or 50,000 miles really inferior to a $20,000 battery pack that would last for 200,000 miles? GM keeps coming up with reasons for delay which make no sense.

They have had this vehicle on the drawing board since 1999. They are frittering away yet another opportunity to be a world automotive leader. One has to wonder why.

The car they build could be aimed at the niche markets (as is the Hummer) and be wildly successful. They seem unwilling to build anything until it can have all the performance characteristics and serve the same market as the Buick. The niches made up of: the save the earth group plus the early adopters of any new technology, plus those who want to save fuel plus those who like the idea of an electric car plus those who are tired of the costly maintenance of ICE cars plus other groups I haven’t thought about could insure that GM’s production for the first few years would be sold.

Stop creating new excuses and start building cars.</description>
