That is an interesting question, and one I wonder about myself. The biggest issue is government stability of course. For the small grower, this might be a serious problem.
It might be that Nicaragua has turned the corner, but there are a lot of very desperate people in Nicaragua, it is one of the poorest countries in Latin America, if not the poorest.
